300hr Foundational Yoga Teacher Training
details
The training schedule is designed so students can continue to work full or part-time while enrolled in the program. The curriculum will be held over weekends and there will be opportunity to meet individually for a number of 1-1 mentoring sessions. We provide space between weekend intensives to allow time to practice and integrate content, while balancing other commitments. This training will be maxed out at 20 students so that each student will have a fair amount of teaching practicum and feedback. We believe that the process of learning takes time and this method of training allows absorption of the material, practical application of information and genuine connections within the group to form over the course of 6 months.
In addition to having two years of personal practice experience, we ask that anyone enrolling in the program is familiar with and comfortable with the essential postures of the Classic sequence. It will be useful to be able to handle a disciplined yoga training and have fundamental practical experience with yoga
postures. We recommend those in training regularly attend classes over the course of the program to experience what they are learning as it is put into practice.

Our 300-hour Foundations Yoga Teacher Training at Nook is intentionally structured to go far beyond a traditional 200-hour program. While foundational training often centers on the essentials—learning and breaking down postures, the art of adjustments and cueing, understanding yoga philosophy, mysticism and history, anatomy labs, and meditation basics—our 300-hour curriculum is designed to provide a far richer, deeper, and more practical learning experience. This is what sets the program apart!
In addition to the classic components, we devote an additional 100 hours to critical, contemporary topics at the forefront of yoga and movement science. You’ll immerse yourself in specialized workshops exploring the science of stretching, breath physiology, music and sound, pelvic floor health, pain science, and common contraindications you may encounter as a teacher. We even explore sequencing options of the Classic and learn how to adjust it with intention.
This advanced focus ensures that you are not only knowledgeable in yoga’s traditions but are highly prepared to work safely and effectively with a broad range of students. Our curriculum bridges time-honored yoga wisdom with up-to-date, evidence-informed practices—empowering you to integrate both foundational and innovative approaches into your teaching.
What truly makes the Nook experience comprehensive is the enormous emphasis we place on hands-on learning and individualized growth. You’ll engage in extensive practice teaching—from small groups to full classes—so you gain real-world experience in a supportive setting. Detailed feedback, regular opportunities to practice adjusting, cueing, and refining your voice. These practical workshops are woven throughout the program. This means your development as a teacher is not theoretical but lived and embodied—by the time you graduate, you’ll have the skills, confidence, and depth of knowledge to teach with authenticity and impact.
