Mindfully Exploring Equanimity
with Heidi Bornstein (CYA-E-RYT Gold), Founder of Mindfulness Everyday

This 1.5-hour Mindfulness Session will focus on movement, breath and guided mindfulness practices, and discussions that explore the theme of equanimity through movement, breath and reflection.
Sunday December 15, 2024, 1:30 – 3 pm Toronto EST

Mindfulness is the art and science of being fully present, blending intention, attitude, and attention through practices that connect the body, mind, and heart. Through mindful yoga, Qigong, foundational mindfulness meditation practices and communication skills, the intention is to nurture a harmonious and holistic experience.

The workshop will focus on the quality of equanimity: what it is and how it can show up in our lives, in a meaningful way.

"Sit like a mountain. Sit with a sense of strength and dignity.
Be steadfast, be majestic, be natural and at ease in awareness.
No matter how many winds are blowing, no matter how many clouds are swirling, no matter how many lions are prowling, be intimate with everything and sit like a mountain. This is an image of equanimity." ~ Sharon Salzberg

The intention is to practice mindfulness together, to share experiences of our practice, and to investigate skillful means for using mindfulness-based strategies and techniques for managing the challenges of life, that result in a mindful approach of responding vs reacting to situations.
