About Me

As a Grief Counsellor, Yoga and Dance Instructor, Somatic Practitioner, Complex Trauma Survivor and Compassionate Human it is my desire to provide a safe space for witnessing and healing as we journey together through this beautiful and at times heartbreaking gift of Life. I am passionate about movement as a way to uncover and bring us closer to the innate connection between mind, body and soul, igniting compassion and love for self and others.

About My Service

A Mind, Body and Soul Approach to Grief, Loss, Trauma, Death, Joy and Healing through Counselling, Somatic Inquiry, Yoga, Dance, Movement Meditation, Breath, EOL Services and Unconditional Love.

Kripalu Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga that emphasizes inward focus and guides the asana practice through BRFWA which stands for Breathe, Relax, Feel, Watch, and Allow. Moving through the flow of Kripalu Yoga invites you to notice and work with sensations arising in both the physical body and mind creating a deeper connection and embodiment of curiosity, acceptance and wholeness.

Rhythm and Prana Flow Yoga Trance Dance is an exploration of the free-form art of movement. It offers a reconnection to our innate creative life force and encourages surrender to the healing powers of movement and collective dance. Encompassing breath, movement, music and more, Yoga Trance Dance offers a Mind, Body and Soul approach to full hearted living. "Consider that a day without dance is a day that has not been fully lived...Nietzsche"

Grief Dance was created as a way to process and provide the grief stored within the body a safe medium through which to surface and be witnessed. I have found in practice that Grief Dance has allowed some of the deepest truths, the ones lying in wait just below the sadness, grief, loss and trauma to surface, bringing with them new levels of understanding, release and embodied compassion. Grief Dance is a movement process whereby we move away from traditional form towards intuitive body release.

Somatic Inquiry is the practice of inviting and bringing greater awareness to the whole body and being through informed interoception and proprioception. Allowing our bodies to "speak" through sensation and inviting resourcing techniques such as Orienting, Grounding, Centring, Breath, and more can help us to regulate our nervous systems and embody compassionate understanding and resilience. In Grief and Trauma we can find ourselves unconsciously living in a state of dysregulation, somatic work helps to recalibrate and develop self-regulation practices that allow us to be present and safe within the discomfort of healing.

Offered as both private sessions and in class and workshop settings, Somatic Inquiry, Yoga, Dance, and Movement Meditation invites you to hold grief, loss and trauma in a different way. The mind is allowed to rest as the body finds permission to communicate and feel fully that which has has been held within. No prerequisite movement experience is required to be able to begin the exploration of honouring and releasing our grief and trauma through movement. Everyone is welcome, always.
