About Me

Yoga has helped me increased my flexibility and improved my confidence both on and off the mat. The practice provides me with inspiration to live each moment more mindfully and in the now.

In August 2016, I went to Santorini Island in Greece where I received my 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher training certification through Drishti International. The training included an introduction to Ashtanga’s Primary Series, Yin, Restorative Yoga, Anatomy and Philosophy. I am deeply grateful for the wisdom my teachers shared with me on this journey and I'm thrilled by the endless avenues offered by this beautiful practice.

In an effort to continue learning and growing, I completed an additional 40-Hours in December 2016. The course was called “Advanced Vinyasa Flow” and was led by Megan Campbell with her business called Sacred Movement School. In February 2017 I attended a workshop titled “The Art of Assisting” held at YogaTown. In March 2017 I completed a 30-Hour “Yin and Meditation Training” at Pure Yoga and in October 2018 I received a 15-Hour "Chair Yoga" certification at PranaShanti led by Michael Hutkins. In May 2019, I received certification to teach NirvanaFitness for which I am also an Ambassador.

My goal is to combine creative sequencing with a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help one deepen their practice. I thrive by helping others nurture their body, mind and soul with yoga leaving students feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

About My Service

Nicole thrives on fitness, travel and outdoor activities. In addition to yoga, endurance sports such as swimming, cycling, running and skate skiing is just a few of her joys with an ongoing list of races and adventures to embark on.

Her love for yoga began nearly 15 years ago as an avid runner back in Toronto seeking flexibility and mind body balance. However, it wasn’t until she moved to Ottawa in 2006 where she met yoga teacher, philanthropist and mentor Evelyn Kindervater-Wheeler who gave her the inspiration to dig deeper into the beautiful practice of yoga. Sadly, in December 2014 Evelyn passed away quickly at the age of 36 from cancer which was an added reminder to always live in the present and set reasonable goals that are and not to far away in the future.

In August 2016, Nicole added a check mark to her bucket list by completing a 200 Hour Intensive Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training course in beautiful Santorini Island Greece. As she considers herself to be a workshop junkie, she continues to further her education through various teachings offered. She completed an additional 40-Hours in Advanced Vinyasa Flow training, a 30-Hour certification for Yin and Meditation, certification in Chair Yoga and most recently NirvanaFitness.

Nicole’s passion is to provide creative sequencing with a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help one deepen their practice. She seeks to help others thrive in life by nurturing the body, mind and soul through yoga leaving her students feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
