Megan holds a Master of Arts (Kin) Degree in Behavioural Medicine from the University of Victoria with expertise in motivation and adherence strategies. Megan's work has been published in high-impact scholarly journals including in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and Psychology, Health and Medicine Journal. Megan is a distinguished scholar and has been awarded a Canadian Institutes of Health Research National Scholarship for her research investigating the impact of life-transitions on psychological and physical health.
Currently, as the Coordination Advisor for Health Promotion at the Central Regional Cancer Program, Megan oversees the development and implementation of regional cancer prevention and screening strategies across the Central LHIN (North York, York Region, South Simcoe) to increase public awareness and participation in breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screening. In her spare time, Megan owns Megan Kirk Wellness Consulting where she develops various health-promotion interventions and programs for special populations dealing with complex life-transitions including high performance athletes, preschoolers, new professionals, new parents, athletes with a disability, seniors, and individuals diagnosed with cancer.
Megan provides an inspiring vinyasa yoga class using empowering postures and breath-work. Whether it is your first class or you're a savvy yogi, Megan will provide you with the guidance you need to feel cleansed, fearless, and focused.
