About Me

I came to yoga over 20 years ago after a car accident and under the suggestion of my doctor. I
started at a local community class and then discovered a studio close to my home, Bodhi Tree
Yoga Centre. After 6 years of practice, I decided to travel to India and study with my studio’s
guru, Vishva-ji. I saw the great benefits of yoga and felt compelled to bring yoga to the older
population.
Once I completed my first 200hr training in 2009, I started teaching a community Seniors Yoga
class to a small group of family and friends. It was such a fulfilling experience that I committed
myself to furthering my study and expand my teaching. I completed the Adjusters Training
Program, with Jeff Mah at The Bodhi Tree Yoga Centre in 2011. This program continues to be the
most valuable training I have done, as it taught me how to look at students and their bodies to
see the patterns of tension, breath and prana. It also lite the path to YogaTtherapy for me. After
completing this training, I went on to do a second 200hr training so I could study more closely
with one of my long-time teachers Ally Bogard. From there I sought out training in Yoga Therapy,
Functional Movement, and Tantric Yogic Philosophy. I also deepened my understanding of the
human body and brain through university courses in heath, anatomy and psychology.
Moving to a small town just before COVID-19 hit required me to reconfigure my teaching. With
a commitment to the older population, I moved my seniors’ classes online, brining almost all of
my over 100 students with me. Since health regulations have lifted, I have stepped back into the
studio environment in my new home as well as brought my 100hr Seniors Yoga YTT back to a
broader studentship online.

About My Service

With well over 8000 hours of teaching, between in-studio classes, private clients, private group
classes, online classes, retreats and trainings, I have extended my offerings to include individual and group yoga therapy. I currently teach seniors specific adaptive yoga practices, public in-studio classes and client-based yoga therapy.
