About Me

I live and work in a small community on the far east coast of Canada in NB.

I've been a student of Ashtanga yoga since 2010, training with my teacher Jody Manley, since 2012. I'm a mom to my wonderful three year old son, am currently completing my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and have been studying trauma-sensitive yoga and yoga therapy. I'm especially interested in the intersection between psychology, somatic therapeutic modalities and the energetics of traditional yoga systems as they relate to the embodied processing of trauma and emerging trauma theory.

About My Service

I teach traditional Ashtanga yoga from the lineage of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Manju Jois and Nancy Gilgoff, who were my teacher's teachers. I offer individual and group work in trauma sensitive yoga, focusing on the effects of yoga on the nervous system and as a tool for healing. I offer prenatal classes as well that focus on the stability, balance and awareness that are available through the practice of the Ashtanga foundational standing asanas.

I teach and offer one-on-one yoga therapy at a family wellness clinic in Sackville, NB and currently facilitate a trauma-sensitive yoga program with our local university.
