Mindful Yin Yoga

This immersion is designed for​ ​yoga teachers and​ ​yoga students who would like to deepen their understanding of the practice and instruction of Yin Yoga.
This​ ​weekend is unique because Jennifer draws on her training in Buddhist mindfulness and related heart cultivation practices as well as her specialized knowledge of the energetic or subtle body as described by Traditional Chinese Medicine.

This immersion will explore through physical practice, visual and written material and group discussion:,and group discussion: - an introduction to Yin Yoga theory and its benefits - thorough coverage of Yin postures & modifications/variations to these postures for all levels - mindfulness meditation and associated practices to support the yin practice - anatomy specific to yin yoga - a thorough exploration of the breath and associated breathing practices - complete Yin Yoga sequences - locations of the​ meridians and acupressure points that can be used during practice or teaching - explanation of the organ systems and the five elements according to Traditional Chinese Medicine and how they relate to yin yoga - multiple experiential practice sessions

Open to all students.This immersion​ ​comes with a manual and is considered teacher training for Yoga Alliance credit.
