Our school has roots in all yoga styles of yoga as each of them have helped to create the foundation of yoga as we know it today.

In everything we do at Atma Yoga, we believe in challenging commonality, we believe in inclusivity, and we believe in our community

The way we do this is by having a smaller studio and by supporting everyone who comes to our classes on their yoga path in a non-judgmental manner.

We do this all through teaching high-quality yoga classes, and offering a teacher training program that educates and supports an individuals yoga journey through useful and quality programming.

Course Outline

Anatomy & Physiology:
Understanding human anatomy enhances yoga practice by promoting safe alignment, mindful movement, and injury prevention. Yoga teachers integrate anatomical cues and modifications to accommodate individual differences and ensure accessibility for all practitioners. By fostering a deeper awareness of the body-mind connection, practitioners cultivate a holistic approach to health and well-being through yoga.

Study of Asanas:
Explanation: Asana practice in Atma Yoga is regarded as a moving meditation, a sacred dance that unites breath, body, and spirit. Each posture becomes an opportunity to cultivate presence, awareness, and inner stillness, transcending the limitations of the ego and connecting with the divine essence within.
Mind-Body Connection: Practicing asanas fosters a profound mind-body connection, where physical movements are synchronized with breath and awareness.
