About Me

I am the wearer of many hats. The most important ‘hat’ I wear is mother. I have three beautiful children. Each one of them has taught me so much about joy, laughter, resilience, patience, and love. I am who I am because of them. Being a mom has been, without a doubt, my greatest privilege and most profound arena for learning and personal growth.

I am a passionate person. I believe life is not for half-assing. And so I live passionately, unapologetically, with my whole-ass.

I believe there’s a HUGE difference between important, and serious. You will rarely find me serious. I take all things in life with appropriate importance, discipline, and the lightest heart possible, always.

Also, I think that avocados go with everything, and laughing cures all maladies.

I grew up in Medicine Hat, AB. My mom says, as a little girl I was always smiling with loads of energy. And while I was cuddly and loved bedtime stories, I was feisty and stubborn from day one. If I decided I wanted something, I got it. (sorry mom)

As a teenager, I made friends with depression. For years, I lacked a sense of belonging and lived in a constant wondering of where I ‘fit.’ This was essentially what put me on the yoga path.

I was 18 when I first tried yoga. No idea what I was getting myself in to. I thought I was doing my friend a favour, letting her practice her newly acquired yoga teaching skills on me. One hour of moving, breathing, stretching; I felt so good. Physically, I didn’t know my body could even feel like that. From that moment, I was all in.

I am ridiculous about yoga. The benefits have been astounding in my own life. Self-care, confidence, boundaries… all happy little by-products of my love affair with yoga. In the beginning, the physical practice helped to heal my body. When I realized my mind was healing too, my ‘all in’ shifted from practicing yoga to teaching.

My teachings are raw, powerful, and rooted in years of training and personal practice.

I get positively giddy talking about alignment, anatomy, and intelligent flexibility. I believe everybody is capable, when they have the tools, and a place to practice those tools with support. Physicalness, being intentional about movement and alignment, is the foundation of all my classes and programs.

Physicalness, gives access to getting present and awake. Living day to day, more vital, and intentional. Ultimately, this is what it’s all about; finding pathways to more personal freedom. It is my deepest honour to be in this work with you.

About My Service

I own a yoga studio and a yoga teacher training school. I offer scheduled classes for members, in studio and online. I also lead yoga teacher trainings for students ready to dive in to more in-depth study.
