About Me

My name is Sarah Moore. I was born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada. I just moved back to the maritimes April 2017 with my husband who is American. After graduating from university with two degrees (English Literature and Journalism), I lived in S. Korea for two years teaching ESL. I met my husband in Korea. After teaching in Korea, I spent time in Sri Lanka where I received my YTT Level 1. Following the course, I apprenticed under two teachers in Thailand, where I began teaching my own classes (2012). I also taught yoga in Bali for three months. My husband and I then moved to Hawaii where we lived for five years. There I taught yoga by donation only--mostly for surf schools and children--I couldn't find a school I wanted to teach with, most are power yoga or hot yoga.

I'm currently studying Ayurveda with Narayana Ayurveda (formerly San Diego College of Ayurveda) (website: http://sandiegocollegeofayurveda.com/). I've been practicing yoga since my preteens with my grandmother and my mother. Before my YTT level 1 I studied under a Korean Sivananda yoga teacher in Jeju Island, S. Korea.

My hope is to eventually offer yoga classes, yoga therapy and Ayurvedic counseling to clients. Right now, I would like to begin offering hatha yoga classes at the Dartmouth Yoga Center in Nova Scotia.
