Heat to Heal’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training offers students a classical yoga teacher training in a unique serene and peaceful destination on Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada. Based on the Classical Ashtanga Hatha Yoga series and informed through the Anusara Principles of Alignment, this training taught by a combination of Heat to Heal Faculty, the training gives the student a solid grounding in yoga philosophy, thought, practice, anatomy, physiology, teaching, special conditions, working in the field of yoga, and more.

Heat to Heal™ 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Goals and Objectives
In this comprehensive 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Students will:
• Develop an understanding of the Yoga philosophies including the Eight Limbs of Yoga, describe the philosophies to others, and demonstrate their use in daily life;
• Observe teaching and lecture in asana, meditation, and pranayama practices and adequately demonstrate these skills to others;
• Demonstrate understanding of the yoga asana poses as related to standing, seated, twists, inversions, backbends, hand balances, supine and restorative poses based on the Ashtanga Primary Series system geared to each level of participant;
• Describe and demonstrate the application of structural alignment as taught in the Anusara Yoga Tradition;
• Understand the variances of yoga styles including, but not limited to, Restorative, Yin, Hatha, Bikram or Hot Yoga, Vinyasa, Power Yoga and practical applications of each style to their future teaching environment;
• Participate daily in meditation, led, Mysore, and restorative yoga asana practices, as well as in chanting, kriyas, and mantras appropriate to the level of training;
• Learn and demonstrate appropriate teaching styles and professional ethics; and,
• Gain an understanding and practical practice in taking charge of their own personal wellness.

Requirements for 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Completion of Modules I, II, III or Six Month Weekend Intensives Course
Module 1: Yoga Philosophy, Scriptures, Lifestyle, Practice and Thought
Module 2: Yoga Anatomy, Physiology, Special Conditions and Therapeutics
Module 3: Learning & Teaching, Special Conditions, and Working in the Business

** NOTE: These modules are offered as six-day stand-alone units or as a three week intensive. Students may choose the module structure that best fits their individual needs.

Six Month Weekend Intensives Course - Runs concurrent with Your Journey to Wellness Workshop Series or by independent arrangement.

This 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Covers all the content included in Modules 1, 2, and 3, offered in conjunction with the Your Journey to Wellness Workshop weekends. 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training students will attend extended lectures on these weekends to fulfill 144 hours of contact with the Primary Director/Instructor. Students will complete outside assignments during the six months to complete the 200-hour requirement.

Requirements & Certification Information
Contact Hours: Student participation in all three modules constitutes 130 contact hours with Primary Yoga Instructor E-RYT 500 in requirement for 200-hour level certification.

Non-Contact Hours: Student participation in all three modules with 200 hour+ instructors, study, and exam preparation constitutes the total of 70 non-contact hours for 200-hour level certification.

Minimum Standard for Pass: Students must have 95% attendance at all sessions in each module and 80% of total score on final exam to obtain 200 Hour Level Certification with Heat to Heal™ and certification with the Canadian Yoga Alliance (CYA).

Materials & Props
Students will need their own yoga-sticky-mat. We have rental mats at $2 per class/day and mats for sale on site. Students may bring a meditation cushion for sitting, or purchase one on site. Please bring closed container water bottles, and writing materials for note taking. Props provided in studio: yoga blocks, straps and blankets. A complete guide to required texts will be included in the final registration materials.
Prerequisites
1. You must be in sound physical, mental, and emotional health. This is an in-depth and comprehensive training program designed to challenge and nourish you in order to support you in reaching your highest potential.
2. Equally important, you must have a sincere desire to learn, open, grow, and develop on all levels body, mind, heart, and spirit - and be willing to integrate the teachings and practice of yoga and meditation into daily life.
3.One to two years of regular practice of yoga is suggested (practice of at least 1 hour per day, 3-4 days per week.
4. Experience, basic understanding and proficiency in Sun Salutations and Asanas.
5. Experience in pranayama and/or meditation is suggested.
6. Acceptance into the program is based upon approval of your application.

Module 1: $900.00 + GST
Module 2: $900.00 + GST
Module 3: $900.00 + GST

To reserve your space, please submit $500.00 CA deposit and include your application form (available by request from info@heattoheal.com) to info@heattoheal.com. Your payment will be deducted from the final payment, which is due 30 days prior to the start of the course. An invoice for the final payment will be sent to you, once the deposit payment is received. Payment may be made by credit card, interact bank transfer or certified bank draft. Please inquire for instructions. Note: a 3% fee applies to all Pay Pal and Credit Card payments.

Refund Policy: The $500 CA deposit is transferable to another upcoming training, but not refundable. Program costs are non-refundable after start of program date, but may be transferred to future trainings. Full program refunds only on medical basis accompanied by letter from physician.

Prices quoted above are in Canadian dollars GST is 5%. For prices in US or International Funds contact us. Exchange rates apply according to the date your payment is deposited in our bank account. Any discrepancies will be the responsibility of the sender.

YOGA INSTRUCTORS CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Certified Yoga Instructors can use any of Heat to Heal™ Modules or Trainings as continuing education credits. CYA members receive an additional 25% discount on all trainings at Heat to Heal™ (except Karen Claffey events – although you do receive the CE credits). If you choose the trainings without assignments, please figure you costs on the 200 Hour YTT Basis. If wanting extra hours and to complete assignments, please figure your costs on the 500 Hour YTT Basis.
