Curriculum
Each Module will include a variety of meditation techniques, movement and breath-work, as well as some facilitation opportunities.
Modules may be taken in any order, with the exception of the Teaching Methodology and Facilitation Skills module. To register for this module you must have previously completed three other modules. Five modules must be completed for certification.

Modules

Meditation: The Science of Conscious Evolution; the Art of Wholeness and Well-Being
In this module you will learn about current research in neuroplasticity and brain science, explore mind-body connections and mind-body medicine, and understand the utilization of conscious evolution for well-being. Develop a personal relationship with the last four limbs of Patanjali: sensory transcendence; concentration; total awareness without conscious focus and Samadhi, the state of Wellness, Authenticity and Freedom.


The Energy of the Chakras
Learn about the traditional experience of the chakras and the significance of these energy centres in daily life. Understand the evolutionary path of humans, socially, spiritually and physically, and about the path of involution as demonstrated by movement through the chakras.


Your Natural Being: Naturality, Life-style and Ethics
Discover your nature, your prakirti or constitution, and the significance of ‘naturality’ in daily life. Learn to understand and respect your innate self through understand the life-altering potential of the meditative experience: body type, personality, constitution and self-knowing. Learn about body types and temperament using eastern and western terms of reference. Discover movement, diet and activities that work best for you.


Experiences of Meditation: Ego, Shadow, Soul and Universal Consciousness
Learn about the archetypal energy of ego, soul, shadow and universal consciousness. Understand the power of integrating knowledge of ego, shadow and soul into your life journey to experience the inclusive nature of ‘naturality’s’ wholeness.


Teaching Methodology and Facilitation Skills
Learn about and experience the steps of instructional design, principles of adult education, interpersonal communication factors, and common mistakes and methods of delivery.


Meditation: Techniques and Traditions
Learn about and experience the meditation techniques of universally acknowledged teachers experienced in a diverse range of traditions and backgrounds. Discover what meditation is and what it is not.


Meditation Retreat
This four day retreat provides each participant with an opportunity to move deeply into his or her own meditative experience in a peaceful and supportive setting. Attendance at dialogue sessions in the morning is optional and one-on-one opportunities with facilitators can be arranged. Silence will be observed throughout the four days.

Prerequisites:
1. A personal interview with one of the instructors and/or written submission outlining your reasons for taking the program.
2. An established meditation practice. *Those without an established practice will be required, upon registration, to begin a meditation practice with the support of the teaching staff in preparation for the program.

Note: This program is for those who want to:
•engage in and explore the experience of self-knowing;
•incorporate the experiences of meditation into a current teaching or healing practice;
•design and facilitate sessions integrating meditation principles and techniques for groups or individuals
•and/or help others to discover physical and mental well-being, explore their full capacity, find their true nature and bring clarity to their daily lives.
Resources and Text: Books by Jivasu will be provided as resource material and a recommended reading list will be provided.

Certification Requirements: Participants will be required to:
•attend 90% of the classes (in Toronto and/or Hamilton)
•have a personal meditation practice
•submit written assignments
•submit précises and questions from readings based on the recommended reading list or other approved books
•plan four meditation sessions (theme-based)
•facilitate a meditation session demonstrating facilitation skills and knowledge of the theme/topic
•facilitate a meditation session outside of class and submit a feedback sheet from participants
•pass a written test

•$460 + HST per module
