About Me
My life has been filled with many joyful gifts that I don't take for granted in these changing times: children, a long marriage, a teaching career and the love of friends in my little community of Guelph.
Yoga has been a constant in my life for more than 20 years. When I needed strength, grounding, a sense of community, I would turn to yoga. Attending a yoga class helped me to reconnect to myself and find the light within once again. As I learned more about the practice of yoga and developed my own personal practice, I became more curious about teaching yoga. The wonderful teachers in my life inspired me to continue this practice and share all of the gifts I have received over the years from yoga. Teaching has deepened my love of yoga and my commitment to learning as much as I can about this ancient practice.
My interests in study have been Human Kinetics, Applied Human Nutrition, Gymnastics, Dance and Brain Gym.
I have a B.A. Sc. and a B. Ed. and have been a school teacher for 20 years. I also love martial arts and I currently teach The Nia technique which blends dance, martial arts and yoga. I have been teaching Nia for 24 years and hold a Black Belt level.
About My Service
I teach beginner level yoga classes in person in Guelph and online using the Zoom platform.

I enjoy breaking down the postures and exploring the foundational components of each asana. Moving our bodies safely, bringing awareness to our breath, the alignment of our bones, and the sustained awareness of ourselves we can experience while practicing yoga.
