About Me

Studied yoga for several years but had to quit after a brain aneurysm rupture. Recently found I was able to practise and became certified as a teacher. My passion is yoga for mental health. I love working with people who have suffered trauma in their life and help them regain a sense of control through bottom up processing and therapeutic yoga.

I am a trauma sensitive yoga instructor meaning I deal with all kinds of people from caregivers to first responders, people dealing with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I do group work and one on one for people who require privacy and are not comfortable in groups.

Practising yoga is more than looking like the pose on the cover of a magazine. It is about health, happiness, healing, recovery, bottom up processing and dealing with issues the body remembers but the mind does not want to deal with. That doesn't mean it's all serious. By far the best time healing comes with laughter and seeing the positive side of things, looking for the small sparks of beauty in an otherwise bland world.

I am available evenings and weekends, and you can schedule appointments online through schedulista.

My sessions are private one-on-one appointments or for couples for people who need their partner there to feel safe.
