About Me

Leslie is an experienced and skilled teacher who has been studying and practicing yoga for over 20 years, and sharing her love and knowledge of yoga with others for the last 6 years.

Leslie is a natural leader whose warmth, patience and passion for yoga combine to provide instruction that is deeply nourishing, inspiring and personally fulfilling. She prefers to work with individuals privately and in small classes in order for everyone to benefit fully from her detailed instructions, hands-on adjustments and individual attention. With her caring support and guidance, students are able to develop a deeper understanding and increased proficiency in all aspects of their yoga practice.

Leslie studied under Master yoga teachers Ron Ried and Diane Bruni at the Downward Dog in Toronto in 2007 to become certified with Yoga Alliance International and the Canadian Yoga Alliance. After completing her initial 200 hours of training, she studied an additional 100 hours of advanced training in Yoga Therapy, philosophy, prenatal yoga and Ayurveda. In recent years, she has taken additional yoga instruction courses in Children's yoga, and has been certified to teach Restorative Yoga, Seniors Yoga and Flow Yoga. She incorporates elements of all of this learning, as well as her own experience from her personal practice, into her teaching.

Leslie is the founder and director of Yoga Grove.

About My Service

Nestled in the beautiful Kingsway neighbourhood of Etobicoke in Toronto, Yoga Grove offers small classes for all ages and in a wide variety of styles, including Ashtanga, Hatha, Absolute Beginner and Restorative.

Our classes are purposefully kept small so that everyone can have a richer, more personalized experience of yoga. Many people find themselves lost in a large studio class, unsure if they are doing the right thing as they try to follow the instructor, and unable to ask questions or get clarification throughout the class.

With all class sizes limited to 5 or 6, students find that yoga is much more accessible, as the instructor is able to personalize the class to the needs, level and interests of the group, as well as to assist and interact with students throughout the classes.

We have a wide variety of styles and levels to choose from, enabling participants to strengthen their bodies, release tension and increase flexibility, as well as to relax the mind and come away with a sense of calm and equanimity that carries through to their everyday lives.
