Course Goals
In this course you will learn:
* Basic information about how stress, anxiety, and trauma affect the systems of the body, the mind, and the connection between them
*What science and yoga tell us about the value of yoga and mindfulness in relieving the effects of anxiety, stress, and trauma in the body and mind
*What Mindful Yoga Therapy (MYT) is; what’s in the MYT toolbox for helping you manage symptoms of anxiety and stress
*How and why to do specific practices and techniques, including:
yogic breathing (pranayama)
postures (asana)
relaxation and rest, also called yoga nidra
guided meditation
and a gratitude practice
*As well as tips for how to do these practices regularly and consistently in order to receive their full benefits
