Teaching Experience Log

After recently reading something about needing to log experience I though it best to add in a post here about teaching experience:

I've been teaching Yoga since 2008, starting out at Northfield Racquet and Fitness Club in Waterloo, ON where I was the Fitness Director during my 200hr YTT. I was offering private sessions and a weekly class with my personal training clients.

2009 - Several classes per week at The Yoga Shack in London, ON

2010 - Opened my own business and worked one on one with private Yoga clients, in addition to subbing a few classes at The BodyMind Centre in Thunder Bay, ON, and leading twice weekly seasonal outdoor Yoga classes in summer. Lead a pranayama workshop at Yoga Fest Thunder Bay.

2011 - Opened a Yoga studio and was leading a full schedule of Yoga classes for 6 mths, until we moved to Marathon, ON.

2011/12 - Taught 2 classes per week out of a local church basement in Marathon, ON, and worked with a private Yoga client weekly.

2012/13 - Taught 2 classes per week at a local community centre in Seaforth, NS, and a class at Sunrise Yoga Studio in Dartmouth, NS.

2014 - Moved back to Thunder Bay and offered several weekly Yoga classes out of The BodyMind Centre, in addition to twice weekly seasonal outdoor Yoga classes in summer, and working with private Yoga clients on a biweekly-monthly basis.

2015 - Took YFFR training and in addition to offering a weekly class at The BodyMind Centre, a few at Moksha Yoga Thunder Bay, offering weekly seasonal outdoor classes weekly during the summer, and working with my private clients, I began offering weekly YFFR classes in December of this year. 1st year of co-teaching a Yoga class at Festival of India, Thunder Bay.

2016/17 - Offering 6 weekly YFFR classes, in addition to private Yoga clients, and seasonal outdoor Yoga classes in summer. 2nd year of co-teaching a Yoga class at Festival of India, Thunder Bay.

2018 - Offering 3 weekly YFFR classes, in addition to private clients, seasonal outdoor Yoga classes, semi-private 6 week Hatha Yoga sessions, and the first offering of my Holistic Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program of personal growth and transformation (Nov. 1, 2017 - September 26, 2018). 3rd year of co-teaching a Yoga class at Festival of India, Thunder Bay.

2019 - Offering 3 weekly YFFR classes, a new weekly community Trauma Sensitive Yoga Class open to all, in addition to private clients, seasonal outdoor Yoga classes, semi-private 6 week Hatha Yoga sessions, and the second offering of my Holistic Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program of personal growth and transformation (Nov., 2019 - September, 2020). 4th year of co-teaching a Yoga class at Festival of India, Thunder Bay.

*In addition to these regular scheduled classes, I also facilitate workshops each year
