School Info

Reclaimed Roots Yoga Studio provides a 250 hour yoga teacher training program. One lead instructor facilitates the program, however, multiple guest instructors provide enrichment opportunities. The program includes intensive study of yoga anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. Students graduate with a strong understanding of yoga safety, alignment, modifications, use of props, and hands-on adjustments. The program provides a balanced teaching of the asanas, pranayama, meditation and yogic philosophy. Energy systems and energy bodies are covered in depth, including focus on the chakras, koshas and kleshas. Students learn the fundamentals of chanting, mantras and mudras. Teaching Methodology is a primary focus of the program, including how to sequence a yoga class, effective verbal cues, visual demonstrations, appropriate yoga music, pacing of the class, etiquette and environment. Students who graduate from Reclaimed Roots Yoga Studio are qualified and experienced, with significant observing, assisting and practical teaching hours completed under my supervision, beyond the 200 hours of class hours.
