Submitted by Parks Creek Retreat and Wellness Studio on February 01, 2019@10:32:AM

This training is ideal for dedicated students looking to further their knowledge and skills or yoga teachers to refresh or renew their training while escaping to tranquility just a short drive from Kingston.
Led by Carly Stong, the vision for this training is to help people become informed and inspired yoga practitioners who draw upon their own life experiences to share their authentic practice with the world. This course is designed for teachers intending to deepen their study, prospective yoga teachers, and serious students of any level of yoga and meditation who wish to hold brave space for experiences that are safe, inclusive, compassionate, and empowering. My experience as a business owner and yoga teacher paired with my backgrounds in Kinesiology and Health Studies inform this program. As well, my post-graduate B.Ed. training ensures that the information is presented clearly while meeting specific and measurable objectives and catering to every learning style.
Regardless of whether or not you intend to teach yoga, this program is built on a foundations of critical thinking and traditional yoga philosophy along with the application of movement principles to the inquiry of yoga. You will learn by seeing, reading, and hearing and also by FEELING and MOVING.
For those who are interested, the intention of this program is to certify graduates with The Yoga Alliance as 200-Hour Yoga Teachers, enabling graduates to teach yoga anywhere in the world.
In-person trainings will take place at the tranquil Parks Creek Retreat. Nestled amongst 18 acres of natural forest in the quaint community of Roslin, Ontario (near Belleville), Parks Creek Retreat boasts a 2,400 square foot timber frame home that can comfortably accommodate 12 guests.
