It is my hope that I can share the inspiration and insights gained through both the subtle and profound gifts of yoga. This is a journey and a path that I feel fortunate to have taken and I feel that part of that journey is to humbly share the things that have affected me, changed me and made me a happier, healthier, more balanced and connected human being. One of my first teachers said, 'take this feeling of bliss and interconnection and spread it around. Let love rule. Let LOVE rule.'
I grew up in Beautiful British Columbia, went to university in Montreal, transitioned through Halifax to end up calling Toronto and Ontario, home. Performing on stage from a young age, I learned early on about the connection between mind, body and spirit and how to harness and develop my whole self in the pursuit of honest expression. My passion for theatre and movement led me along the path of exploring my physical body, and along the way, I began to practice yoga.
From that point on my life changed and I moved slowly and surely toward integrating all that I had learned in the arts with all the new discoveries yoga brought into my life. It has been an incredible journey thus far. Yoga brings together my passion for life, the stillness I need to live that life in truth, harmony and bliss and the ability to share with others the joy of being truly alive.
I completed my 250 hour yoga teacher training at The Yoga Sanctuary in 2009, under the guidance and support of Cynthia Funk and Karusia Wroblewski. I continued my studies with Tracey Soghrati in the fall of 2009, adding the beautiful practice of Yin Yoga to my training as a teacher. I recently continued my yoga education with training in teaching Restorative Yoga as taught by Hali Schwartz. I continue to be influenced by many generous and loving teachers who impart such special gifts into my teaching of others and into all aspects of my life.
